New Landscape Curriculum

The new curriculum for Landscape Architecure has been introduced this year and has been a great success. Instead of 10 single modules per year, the new 1st year has 4 double modules -
Visual Communication - basic hand drawing and digital graphic skills
Sustainable Technology 1 - introduction to ecology, planting and hard materials
Context Meaning & Form - introduction to the design process
Design Studio 1 - series of small design projects to develop design skills
The modules have been designed to link clearly to each other for improved student learning, and introduce all the basic skills necessary for the Landscape Architects of the future!
The student response to the new curriculum has been excellent with improved understanding of the relationship between different modules and their associated skills and knowledge.
The next stage of the curriculum will be introduced this coming year at level 2.
